The pivotal idea for the KUTSU Co. branding emerged from the name itself. "Kutsu" translates to "brain" in Japanese, and we saw this as the perfect metaphor for the intelligence and innovation embedded in their uniquely square shaped sneaker designs. The logo, therefore, not only evolved into something more reminiscent of a square shaped brain, but into a bespoke wordmark with a hidden “character”.
